Robert L. West

Robert L. West was appointed Vice President for College Advancement in October 2004. As vice president he oversees all areas of the Advancement effort of the College which includes fund raising, alumni affairs and college relations.

Bob previously served in the Advancement Office as associate vice president and director of development for eight years. During that period he forged numerous relationships with alumni and friends of the College and served as a key member of the development team that successfully completed the capital campaign for the James A. Cannavino Library.

Prior to coming to Marist, Bob served as chief development officer for Suffolk University Law School and was a senior member of the Central Development Office. In addition he served as executive director/assistant vice president at SUNY Empire State College Foundation. He also had corporate experience in the sales and marketing field before moving to higher education.

Bob received his B.S. degree in business administration and his M.B.A. degree from Suffolk University. He is a graduate of the Harvard University Management Development program and has completed the Certified Fund Raising Executive (C.F.R.E.) program.
