Sean P. Kaylor

Sean began his career at Marist in the Office of Admission as an Assistant Director and was promoted to Associate Director in 1993. In 1994 he became Director and was appointed Vice President of Admission and Enrollment Planning on August 1, 1998. Initially Sean was responsible for Traditional Undergraduate Admission and Financial Aid. Since then, his role at the College has increased, and he is now responsible for Traditional Undergraduate Enrollment, Graduate and Adult Enrollment, Student Financial Services, and Enrollment Marketing & Communications.

Since becoming Vice President, the traditional undergraduate applicant pool has grown from 5,704 in 1998 to nearly 10,000 in 2009. This represents a 75% increase over eleven years. In addition, the percentage of students accepted has gone from 54.1% in 1998 to 35% in 2009. During this time, the academic quality and diversity of the incoming students have improved significantly. Sean is also an active member of the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling and currently serves as Past President. He has presented and moderated at regional and national conferences on all topics related to enrollment management. Sean received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Marist College in 1990.
