Conditional acceptance to Marist Abroad

After the Marist Abroad on-line application has been submitted and processed, successful applicants will receive a "Conditional Acceptance" letter through e-mail. The letter outlines next steps for pre-departure planning.

GeoBlue Worldwide Insurance Coverage is provided to every Marist Abroad participant.

  • GeoBlue coverage is included in the Marist Abroad fee.
  • Participants are automatically subscribed for the coverage.
  • GeoBlue sends a welcome to each participant, with instructions for registering and gaining full access to https://admin.geobluestudents.com/login/login.cfm for: ID card; recommended physicians, hospitals, pharmacies; drug translation guides; claim forms; benefits; health, safety, security info; etc.
  • The GeoBlue ID card includes emergency phone numbers; participants should carry it in their wallet while abroad.

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) 

Why register for STEP? The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in a foreign  country. 

STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in an emergency:

  • Receive important information from the local U.S. Embassy re: safety conditions.
  • Embassy contact in an emergency (natural disaster, civil unrest, family emergency).
  • Help family and friends get in touch in an emergency.
