2016 Honors Medal Ceremony

Dr. Christy Caridi presenting Megan Callanan with her Honors medal

On the morning of Friday, May 20th, the Honors Program celebrated the Honors Class of 2016 at its annual medal ceremony in the Marist Chapel. Graduating Honors seniors selected a faculty member to present them with their medals. The faculty member gave a speech about the graduating senior in front of an audience of family members, friends, faculty, and staff.

This year the Honors Program graduated thirty nine students. Honors seniors graduated with degrees from across the college. The Class of 2016 Valedictorian, Alexa Abrams, and Salutatorian, Shannon Dempsey, were among the Honors students presented with medals. In addition, Melissa Iori (Computer Science) was presented with an award for completing the best senior thesis project. Information on last year's ceremony can be found here.
