The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is a private, independent foundation, established by Jack Kent Cooke to help young people of exceptional promise reach their full potential through education. The Foundation identifies and supports young people of special intelligence, application, deportment, and character who have financial need and demonstrated excellence in academic endeavors and extracurricular activities. The Foundation's scholarships are the largest and among the most competitive in the country.

The Foundation's programs intend to bridge gaps where insufficient financial support exists: for seniors moving on to graduate study or for community college students transferring to four-year schools.
