We accepted 42% of the more than 8,300 students who applied for a seat in the entering class of 2011. This year's freshmen include nearly 1,000 students from all corners of the map. In the Midwest, students enrolled from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio; on the west coast from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington; from the north Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont; from the mid-Atlantic Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania; and from the south, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. We even have students from Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and several countries around the world!
