We accepted around 30% of the nearly 10,500 students who applied for a seat in the entering class of 2017. This year's freshmen include 1,164 students from all corners of the map. In the midwest, students enrolled from Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio, on the west coast, from Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington; and from the south, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. Internationally, almost 20 countries are represented, including Chile, China, Singapore, and Switzerland. In addition, this year, 40 select incoming freshmen will spend their first year of study at the Marist Branch Campus in Florence, Italy as part of the Freshman Florence Experience (FFE). Marist is rated as “highly selective.”
