We accepted around 38.3% of the nearly 9,749 students who applied for a seat in the entering class of 2018. This year's freshmen include 1,120 students from all corners of the map. In the midwest, students enrolled from Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio, on the west coast, from Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington; and from the south, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. Internationally, almost 27 countries are represented, including Chile, China, Singapore, and Switzerland. In addition, this year, 40 select incoming freshmen will spend their first year of study at the Marist Branch Campus in Florence, Italy as part of the Freshman Florence Experience (FFE). Marist is rated as “highly selective.”
