How did you choose Marist: When I first stepped foot on campus it just felt right. Its hard to describe the feeling, its more or less like a gut feeling. Walking around in the library, the buildings, outside, it all seemed to fall in the place and I knew this was the school for me.
What do you like best about Marist: I think the best part about Marist is the warm, open, and friendly community it has. People go out of their way to hold the door open for you. It seems like a small thing but I believe it speaks volumes for the average Marist student here.
What was your favorite class: My favorite class so far has been Public Presentations. The professor was outstanding and related the material we were studying in class to real-world experiences. I not only grasped knowledge about public speaking, but how to be successful beyond college.
Best part of living on campus: The best part is easily the communities that form in your residence halls. The majority of my closest friends live in my residence hall (Sheahan). When you live with your friends it provides a very enjoyable living environment.
Marist on the weekends: There is always something to do. You will be hanging out with your friends frequently at sporting events such as football, and basketball games, the college has bus trips to the mall nearly every weekend, they show new movies on campus, provide trips to New York City to see Broadway plays and musicals, most students don't go home on the weekends, and if they do they are often asking what they missed the day they return to campus.
