Tell us about your work history before Marist, including years of experience, industry, companies, and positions.
I came to Marist immediately following my undergraduate degree so I didn't have lots of work experience but I was a teaching assistant for two years for the chemistry department at WVU.
Current Employer and Position:
I am currently employed by Marist's Upward Bound program as a tutor and teacher.
Why did you choose Marist to further your education?
I wanted to attend a campus that was small and away from home. I heard about Marist through my fiancés family and felt that this would be a good fit. They were right!
Tell us about a project or course that was particularly meaningful to your professional development.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking my portfolio and development class. When I first moved to New York I did not have a good understanding of the teaching standards here. I was very overwhelmed at first but learning everything that I did during that course has prepared me so much for my final portfolio to graduate.
