Marist Chapter of Pi Alpha Alpha

Marist Chapter of Pi Alpha AlphaDid you know that Marist College has a chapter of Pi Alpha Alpha? The purpose of this Society is to encourage and recognize outstanding scholarship and accomplishment in public affairs and administration, to promote the advancement of education and practice in the art and science of public affairs and administration, and to foster integrity, professionalism and creative performance in the conduct of governmental and related public service activities.

There are more than 160 Pi Alpha Alpha chapters located around the world at NASPAA member schools. PAA membership identifies those schools and individuals with the highest performance levels in educational programs preparing them for public service careers.

Pi Alpha Alpha provides MPA graduate students with three major membership benefits: acknowledgement of academic achievement, job-searching and networking benefits, and the opportunity to serve others through public service. Membership can be indicated on your resume to improve appeal to employers and you can highlight the activities you participated in as a member. Additionally, membership indicates a choice to serve others through ongoing public service activities throughout your career path.

For more info about Marist's chapter of Pi Alpha Alpha and to join, contact Dr. Anne Zahradnik.
