Advising and Career Assistance for School Psychology Students and Alumni

While Marist's MA in School Psychology graduate program does contain a required internship component, additional career advising and professional development services are available through the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Marist College Center for Career Services. Both offices maintain listings of employment and internship opportunities as well as alumni volunteers who are available to speak with students about career planning. All students and alumni are encouraged to utilize these services on campus or via the Web.

  • The School Psychology program holds a job hunting seminar each year with professionals from the field.
  • Each student is assigned an advisor who discusses career goals and planning.
  • All students create a professional resume and update it throughout the program.
  • Students have access to the Marist Career Center and their services including job fairs, employment listings, developing interview skills, and the Marist Alumni Network.
