Marist College is committed to enrolling a diverse group of men and women whose backgrounds and talents will enhance each other's educational experience. Moreover, the College seeks students who are eager to participate in our academic community and wish to make a positive contribution to the student body. Marist offers many different learning opportunities depending on the individual student's age, educational background, and interests.

Undergraduate Education Admission

Traditional Undergraduate Students
You are considered a traditional undergraduate freshman for admission and scholarship purposes if you have not enrolled in college course work after high school completion, regardless of the number of college credits earned while in high school.

Transfer Students
Transfer students are welcome! Each year, approximately 200 students from two-year and four-year colleges throughout the Northeast choose to transfer to Marist. You are considered a transfer student if you have enrolled in college course work at another institution after high school and are under the age of 22.

Adult Undergraduate Students
Marist offers over 50 undergraduate degrees and certificate programs, including evening courses and online options, making it the perfect place for busy adults who want to start or complete their bachelor's degree. You are considered an adult student if you are a part-time undergraduate (of any age) or a full-time undergraduate student who is 22 years of age or older.

Graduate Students
With 12 graduate degrees and two advanced certificates, graduate-level study at Marist is designed with working professionals in mind. Our programs focus on building skills, increasing earning potential, and strengthening your marketability with full-time and part-time study options, 100% online and hybrid courses, and classroom locations in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, New York City, Albany and the Marist branch campus in Florence, Italy.

Marist's Branch Campus is located in the center of the beautiful Tuscan city Florence. It is an amazing place to live and learn for students of all ages. Programs offered at the Florence branch campus include undergraduate, graduate, short- and long-term study abroad, and summer pre-college for high school students.
