Why did you choose Marist College?
It gave off a very friendly vibe, it has so many attributes, and there were many course options, clubs and organizations. The campus is beautiful and it is close enough to NYC which can be practical, but it is far enough that it is not a suitcase college.
What was your favorite class? Why?
My favorite class was College Writing because our professor (Erin Rodino) made learning so much fun and entertaining.
What is the best part of living on campus?
Walking anywhere knowing that you will bump in to someone you know. You're always surrounded by friendly faces.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
The cafeteria and Champagnat (freshmen dorm).
How do you connect with friends and family at home while at Marist?
Through my cell phone, Facebook, or Skype.
What kind(s) of extracurricular activities are you involved in?
International club, Marist ambassadors, Emerging Leaders Society, Dance ensemble, tutoring, and pledging a sorority.
Tell us about a “cultural” moment you had at Marist (culture shock, funny story, etc.).
During an oral presentation in Italian class, my brain froze and I started speaking in a bizarre mixture of languages (French, English, Italian, Spanish and Greek). No one could understand me. I obviously did not get a good grade.
What do you do for fun outside of Marist?
I go to the mall, I party, and I occasionally go to NYC on weekends.
