International Student Orientation

The Marist College International Orientation Program is an intensive workshop at the beginning of each semester that introduces students to the College, helps them register for courses, meet faculty and administrators, and become familiar with college and governmental policies and procedures.

A component of the orientation program is an additional American Culture and Language seminar during the fall and spring semesters. This required seminar helps students understand the academic practices and requirements vital to success at college in the United States. Both the orientation workshop and seminar are mandatory for all international students.

International student orientation will take place on Wednesday through Friday, 10-12 January 2018, beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m. each day in the Murray Student Center. Detailed information about the event is provided in the orientation letter.

Plan to arrive in the USA before 10 January 2018, so that you may participate in the full program, a requirement for all international students. On-campus housing will be provided beginning on 9 January for undergraduate students who will be living on campus in the spring semester. We look forward to seeing you!

An additional fee is required of both graduate and undergraduate students to cover the cost of orientation and the subsequent seminar.
