Megan Kokinda - Whitehouse Station, NJ

Megan

"At my internship, I was able to work with children during educational programs and get amazing networking experience with the National Archives."

Many things about Marist attracted Megan Kokinda, including the beautiful campus, excellent location, and the great education program. This senior came to Marist from her hometown in New Jersey to study history and adolescence education. In her time here, she's done many things to enhance her education including joining a sorority, joining a history honors society (Phi Alpha Theta), studying abroad in Rome, and completing an internship this past summer.

Megan's internship experience was as the education intern at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt museum and library, where she was "able to work with children during educational programs." The internship also provided her with "amazing networking with the National Archives."

After graduation this spring, Megan plans to move to the Washington D.C. area and hopes to work at the National Archives or in the education department at one of the many museums in the capital area. She is also planning on getting her master's degree after graduation.
