Thomas DePace - North Eastport, NY

Thomas

"Marist is a diverse campus with dedicated faculty and students who continually strive for excellence."

Tom is a junior from North Eastport, NY, and is rarely found sitting still. On campus, he is a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity and is the fundraising chair for Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. He also actively participates in the Marist College Music Program and has been seen performing with the Marist Symphonic Band, Pep Band, Singers, and Chamber Singers. Off campus he's a professional mobile disk jockey and sound engineer providing entertainment for events or sound for the MCCTA Musicals.

Unbelievably however, it wasn't the extracurricular activities that brought him to Marist but rather the AACSB accredited business school. As an International Business major with a minor in music, "I knew that I would be exposed to some of the best professors and business professionals in the academic world." Admittedly, he also enjoyed the enchantment of the Marist College campus, citing that the Hudson Valley is without a doubt one of the most gorgeous places to be in the spring and fall.

Tom is well on his way to success as he has already performed around the country with the Chamber Singers at Carnegie, the Symphonic Band at Disney, and the Pep Band at the NCAA tournament in Tempe, Arizona. He has also had some great internship experiences in the Production Management and Finance Department at VH1, where he works with the VPs of Finance and Production Managers to develop, track, and enforce the budgets for their series and specials. "Whether it's academics, the arts, sports, or community service, Marist is a diverse campus with dedicated faculty and students who continually strive for excellence."
