On Saturday, July 11, Marist alumni welcomed new graduates from the Class of 2009 to the Long Island Alumni Chapter with a fun summer BBQ on Lido Beach. Alumni reminsced about their good times at Marist while enjoying great food, beach games, and most of all - the water! Many thanks to Marie Wicks '86, Long Island Chapter President, and her steering committee for planning a wonderful event.
On Saturday, May 30, Marist alumni, friends, and families gathered at Citibank Park in Central Islip, New York to cheer on the Long Island Ducks vs. York Revolution. The evening was topped off by a fireworks show after the game.
Members of the Long Island, New York Metro, and New Jersey Chapters of the Marist College Alumni Association gathered on Friday, May 15 in New York City to celebrate spring's highly anticipated arrival! The reception was held at Local West with over 40 alumni and friends in attendance. Marie Wicks '86, Long Island Chapter President, Jonathan Hackett '04, New Jersey Chapter President, and Topher Ziobro '07, New York Metro Chapter President organized the ideal atmosphere for a casual and fun evening where alumni could network and reminisce with their friends.
Marist alumni gathered at the USTA Billie Jean National Tennis Center to cheer on the Red Foxes as they defended their MAAC championship title. With the win, Marist improved to 12-3 on the season, won its seventh MAAC Championship, and clinched its seventh trip to the NCAA Tournament. The championship triumph also avenged a 5-2 regular season loss to the Fairfield Stags. Go Red Foxes!
On Thursday, February 19, 2009, members of the Marist College Long Island Alumni Chapter gathered at Doolin's Pub in Nassau Coliseum before cheering on the NY Islanders as they took on the #1 seeded Carolina Hurricanes.
