2009 Hudson Valley Scholars "Summer Fling"
On Thursday, July 9, 2009, Marist business volunteers and donors gathered together for the Hudson Valley Scholars Summer Fling held at Marist's Historic Cornell Boathouse. The event was held to congratulate and thank the volunteers and donors, who helped raise more than $133,000 in scholarship support for Marist students from the Hudson Valley.
Robert West, Vice President for College Advancement acknowledged Richard K. Whalen, DDS, Dental Design Studio, who has chaired the Hudson Valley Scholars Program for the past six years. Under Rich's leadership during this time the program has raised nearly $I million in scholarship support.
Michael T. Flynn '96, MNC Stribbons, Inc. co-chaired the 2009 Campaign along with Rich. Michael will lead the 2010 Campaign along with co-chairs, Robert Ranieri '92 of Rose and Kiernan, and Vinny Miller '80 of William G. Miller Funeral Home.
