
Stanley Harris, M.D. ’68 has served as a Senior Medical Director for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey since 1991. Throughout his tenure with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dr. Harris has overseen the development and implementation of Medical policy throughout all of Horizon Healthcare’s lines of business.
Prior to his position at Horizon BCBSNJ, Dr. Harris served as the Medical Director for Alternative Delivery Systems at Empire BCBS of New York. Dr. Harris has also held the position of Vice President for Ambulatory Care at the New York City Health and Hospital Corporation, among others.
Dr. Harris is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Montefiore Medical Center, where he also worked as a primary care pediatrician for ten years. Dr. Harris received a Master’s Degree in Communications from Marist College in 2006, in addition to the Bachelor of Arts degree that he received from Marist in 1968.
Dr. Harris has served as member of the Board of Trustees since 1999. He lives with his wife, Angela in Wayne N.J., and is the proud father of three daughters, Amber, Kenyon, and Lisa.
Maureen Tobin Powers is a managing principal of trading at Halcyon Asset Management, LLC and has been with Halcyon since 1985. Maureen's education includes undergraduate studies at Marist College and Oxford University with a B.A from Marist in 1984.
After 20 years of service as a detective in the NYPD, Robert Powers is now retired. In his free time, Robert coaches his children's soccer and CYO basketball teams. Robert is also a Marist graduate Class of 1984.
Maureen and Robert reside in Rockville Centre, NY and enjoy spending time with their four children Kenny, Connor, Nora and Maeve. The children range in age from 18 to 7.
As members of the Class of 1984, Maureen and Robert are celebrating their 25 year reunion this year. In addition to celebrating their reunion, this year their oldest son Kenny joined the Marist College Class of 2013.
Daniel Moran '03
Daniel Moran is a proud member of the class of 2003. Since graduating from Marist, Daniel has completed his MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. He has professionally committed himself to working for and with entrepreneurial companies. From his first position as an original employee of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship to his current role as Merger & Acquisition, Project Manager for Interstate Waste Services, Daniel has been consistently involved in the development, support, and sale of entrepreneurial organizations.
Daniel continually supports Marist College by attending many alumni, academic and athletic events and is also currently serving as a member of the Alumni Association Executive Board.
Megan Murphy '07

Megan Murphy is a proud 2007 graduate of Marist College. She has worked in the office of New York State Senator Charles Schumer since graduation. She got her start with Senator Schumer as an intern in the fall of 2006 and since then has worked as the Hudson Valley Deputy Director and currently as his Director of Scheduling in New York City. As the Director of Scheduling, she helps develop and oversee the Senator’s schedule for all of the 62 counties in New York.
She is honored to be the 2010 Marist Young Alumni Co-Chair and looks forward to working with all the Marist Alumni towards a successful year!


Michael Flynn was born and raised in Bristol, RI and graduated Marist in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing.
Michael is the director of marketing for MNC Stribbons, Inc., a global manufacturer of
decorative packaging accessories. His service to his community is close to his heart. He has served on the Board of Directors for REHAB Programs in Poughkeepsie for the last 5 years. Currently, Michael serves as Vice President of the Board and chairperson for their Planned Giving committee. In 2005, he served on the Hudson Valley Empire State Games Opening Ceremonies committee. Most recently, Michael was named a "40 Under 40" by the Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce in 2008, an honor which he was very humbled to receive.
When he is not volunteering his time in his community, he is with his wife Joann and two beautiful sons, Ryan and Gavin. He and his family reside in Poughkeepsie, NY.
