The Young Alumni Council
The purpose of the Young Alumni Council is to increase young alumni participation in the Marist Alumni Association, Marist Fund, and the College, by developing partnerships and offering content rich programming for graduates of the past decade. The council is composed of representatives of each class from the previous ten years.

Julie Lavin '09
Julie Lavin is a proud alumna from the Class of 2009. She holds a BA from the School of Communication and the Arts. During her time at Marist, Julie served as both vice president and president of the Class of 2009, was active in Marist Singers and Marist Chamber Ensemble, acted as a tour guide, and served as the Co-Chair of the Senior Class Gift Committee. Julie also started her own cooking show while at Marist along with the Culinary Institute of America, and is still working on it today. In 2009, Julie was honored to receive the Alumni Leadership Award which recognizes one male and female graduating senior for outstanding leadership during the students’ four years at Marist. The award also recognizes potential leadership contributions to the Alumni Association.
Julie has met and exceeded this potential as she is currently serving as a Class Agent for her respective class as well as the Alumni Association Chapter President for Long Island, New York. Julie currently works for Disney Theatrical as the assistant to the vice president of National Sales. She is excited to be serving as the 2012-2013 Marist Young Alumni Co-Chair and looks forward to meeting other Red Foxes and working toward a successful campaign!
Nicholas Lombardi '07
Nicholas Lombardi graduated in 2007 with a BS in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. During his time at Marist, Nicholas co-founded the Marist chapter of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) and was involved with local economic development initiatives in the Greater Poughkeepsie area. While at Marist, Nicholas also received the Alumni Leadership Award recognizing his outstanding leadership as well as his anticipated contributions to the Alumni Association.
Nicholas is a licensed Connecticut real estate broker and is currently serving as the Vice President for Corporate Sales at BroadStar Wind Corporation.
In 2012, Nicholas was appointed as a Commissioner of the Wallingford Housing Authority, which manages 317 affordable housing units. Nicholas and his wife Victoria (Fresolone ’07) are committed to lifelong support of Marist College. Nicholas is honored to be the 2012-2013 Marist Young Alumni Co-Chair and looks forward to working with friends and alumni in supporting the continued success of Marist.
