BRONX ZOO

Bronx, NY
Visit the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States, home to over 4,000 animals, many of which are endangered or threatened species. Admission includes Zoo Shuttle round-trip, Skyfari Cable Car one-way, Children's Zoo, The World of Darkness, the famous Reptile House, and Jungle World.
Bring lunch or buy on site.

OPUS 40

Saugerties, NY
Opus 40 is a monumental environmental sculpture, rising out of an abandoned bluestone quarry, created by sculptor Harvey Fite. Walk around the pools, fountains and pathways as you marvel at the beautiful sculptures. We will also visit the Quarryman's Museum, which Harvey Fite built to house his collection of tools and artifacts. Carpooling encouraged. Directions will follow with your confirmation.

STONE HOUSE WALKING TOUR - HUGUENOT STREET

New Paltz, NY
Enjoy a two-hour tour of the Stone Houses on Huguenot Street which will take you back in time 300 years when the land was settled by French Huguenots and experience what life might have been like then and in succeeding generations. Directions will follow with your confirmation.

HISTORIC ELEPHANT HOTEL

Somers, NY
Tour an interesting, entertaining museum of circus memorabilia. The tour takes about one hour with a small exhibit on the first floor. There are difficult stairs to the third floor. Directions will follow with your confirmation.

BIRDING & WILDFLOWER WALK AT FERNCLIFF FOREST

Rhinebeck, NY
Birding and wildflower experts will accompany us on this walk. Both wildflowers and migrating warblers should be in abundance during May. We will offer two distance options. Sturdy walking shoes recommended, since the terrain has rolling hills. Directions will follow with your confirmation.

THE CHUANG YEN BUDDHIST MONASTERY

Carmel, NY
Visit the home of the largest Buddha statue in the Western Hemisphere at a training institute and seminary dedicated to the study of Buddhist teachings. After a 1-1/2 hour tour an optional vegetarian lunch will be available in the dining hall. Lunch must be reserved with your application. Comfortable walking shoes are suggested. Cameras allowed. Directions will follow with confirmation.
