This cutting-edge degree integrates technology skills with the essential management expertise that today's high-tech workforce demands. The Technology Management program was created with the specific aim of advancing the educational and career goals of this century's high-tech workforce. Marist has participated in a joint study partnership with IBM Corporation for more than ten years with a focus on applied technology in higher education.
The Technology Management Degree Completion Program builds on a technical background and provides additional education in areas vital to organizational success in the 21st Century. Participants will gain advanced managerial and system-level technology skills, with courses and projects highlighting the high-tech industry.
Students who enroll in the program will complete 66 credit hours concentrating on managerial, communication, and technology skills. A minimum of 120 credits are necessary to receive an undergraduate degree from Marist College. Individuals desiring to complete their full degree may transfer up to 70 credits from a regionally accredited two-year institution.
Classes will be held at Marist College's Fishkill extension center. The classes are set up in a cohort-style format, with groups of 20 to 25 students completing the program together. Students will be able to learn from one another's experiences to enhance the learning process. For maximum convenience, students will be able to register for classes and receive books without having to come to campus.
The Technology Management program allows students to complete 63 credit hours of work (21 classes) in a facilitator-led, cohort-style program. Case studies, projects, and interactive seminars focus on issues specific to the high-tech industry. This convenient program allows students to attend classes with students working in similar fields and apply learning to their work experience.
