Welcome!

The Communication & Media Studies Internship Program offers students the opportunity to earn college credit while working in a supervised professional media environment. Students may earn credit during Fall, Spring or Summer semesters. Credits are offered on a sliding scale to meet the needs of variable schedules and budgets. Surveys and student testimonials consistently demonstrate the value of credit-bearing internships for career-minded students. Media is a competitive field and internships can make all the difference. We welcome you to explore our site and reach out to us with any questions.

Here comes Summer...

NOW is the time to get your resumes out for Summer internships. Employers will be reviewing resumes and interviewing in the coming months. Deadlines vary with each individual employer, so the best strategy is to develop a "target list" of employers and research their application deadlines.

Summer Internship Registration will be open from April 15-May 7. To register, you will need an "offer of hire" from an internship employer/sponsor and a completed & signed Learning Contract Form.

Did you take the Pre-Requisite class for Internships?

YES, there is a pre-requisite class for COM internships. You can enroll in CRDV 100 Employment Practicum for the upcoming SUMMER terms. This 1-credit class prepares you for the competitive world of internships by teaching you to write a professional resume and helping you improve your interviewing and networking skills.
