Qihao Ji is an assistant professor in the School of Communication and the Arts at Marist College.
Before joining Marist, Ji was a post-doctoral Fellow at the Florida State University, where he received his Ph.D. in Mass Communication. His research lies at the intersection of media effects, positive media psychology, and emerging communication technologies. Specifically, he is interested in how people use and are impacted by entertainment media at both individual and societal levels.
His works have been published in various peer-reviewed journals such as Media Psychology, Human Communication Research, International Journal of Communication, Projections: The journal for movies and minds, and Electronic News, among others.
