Judges cited a total of 1,080 winners for either First, Second or Third Place or for Certificates of Merit for those deemed worthy of honorable mention in a category. Entry categories included those for yearbooks and for digital (online) media, in its annual competition for individual achievement by student writers, editors, designers and photographers.

AEJMC

The AEJMC (Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication) Student Magazine Contest winners have been announced for 2017.  FM/AM, the Fashion Magazine at Marist, has won two awards from a professionally juried field of 222 entries from 22 universities in the US and Canada.

First Place: Design

Second Place: General Excellence

To quote juror Stephanie Mehta, deputy editor of Vanity Fair, "As a fashion magazine, it might be easy for FM/AM to rest on its stunning photography and sophisticated styling, and indeed, FM/AM is by far the best-looking entry in the category.  But like the best professional fashion titles, FM/AM also delivers compelling essay and interviews..."
