The NYC fashion scene - the multibillion-dollar, exciting, fast-paced industry is anxious to have new talent. If you are interested in breaking into the world of fashion, apply to the NEW YORK FASHION EXPERIENCE - NYFE. NYFE is a sound, academic program that helps students achieve their goals in the best possible way. NYFE was created by THE FASHION PROGRAM AT MARIST COLLEGE to provide students with first hand experience in the fashion capital of the world.

WHO IS THE PROGRAM AIMED AT?

Internships are open to:

  • Students of all majors who aspire to careers in the fashion industry attending a 2 year or 4 year college or university
  • Mature, independent juniors and seniors who can succeed in a challenging environment
  • Students who want to experience the inner workings of the fashion industry to enhance their careers
  • Students who want to experience the pace and diversity of big city life

COURSE OF STUDY

NYFE is a rigorous full-time semester-long study/internship program offered Fall & Spring semesters. We provide personalized internship placement to ensure a strong match between student and site based on the student's needs and interests. Internships commit students to spending 4 full days at their worksite, earning 12 credits. A 3-credit course entitled "NEW YORK FASHION SEMINAR" taught by an industry professional, rounds out their week.
