The first Marist students to earn Adobe certifications, L to R, Alex Treiber, Gabrielle Pallaschi, Robert Boriello, Elizabeth Miller.
To complement its highly-successful Avid certification program, the Film, Television, Games, and Interactive Media Department recently added a path for students to earn professional certificates in Adobe applications including PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, InDesign and Flash.
The first Adobe certifications were offered as part of a new class, Advanced Post Production, which premiered in fall of 2015. Four students earned certificates in PhotoShop, the industry standard for image editing. Two more students became certified in the spring semester.
Beginning in spring 2017, the Film, Television, Games, and Interactive Media Department will offer Adobe certification classes in a non-credit, accelerated format.
