The Silver Fox Awards
"Good evening and welcome..."
The Silver Fox Awards is a digital video festival and awards ceremony held on the last weekend of the academic year in the college's Nelly Goletti Theatre. Created by Marist professor Jeff Bass, the festival showcases the best student video works of the year. Projects in several categories are nominated and screened, with winners selected by ballot. Over the years, hundreds of students have had their work shown at the Silver Fox Awards, and dozens have taken home trophies.
In 2009, a radio category was added, followed by awards for interactive media and game design in 2010. With so many student projects, the Silver Fox Awards outgrew the confines of a single ceremony. In 2011, the Media Arts Festival expanded to include three distinct events. The Happy PXL Awards to honor the finest student projects in interactive media and game design, and the Marist Electronic Media Awards (MEMA) to showcase the best in student television and radio work. The Silver Fox Awards are now devoted to student films, both narrative and documentary, as well as music videos and movie trailers.

The festival includes live entertainment, such as music, dance numbers, and comedy sketches.
Winners receive a handsome, personalized acrylic trophy. Here, Alitalia Anderson accepts the Silver Fox for Best Editing.
