Bio:

Douglas A. Richard holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Duquesne University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase. Douglas spent six years in Washington, D.C. as a member of The Old Guard (3d US Infantry) Fife and Drum Corps and The United States Army Band (Pershing's Own). After seven semesters of public school teaching in the state of Pennsylvania,  he rejoined the Army, serving as the Music Arranger for the West Point Band in West Point, New York, a position he currently maintains. He has music published by Alfred Music, Hal Leonard, and TRN and has had his arrangements performed by ensembles ranging from middle school bands to colleges and premiere armed service bands as well as several major symphony orchestras.
