The Marist College Department of Computer Science and Information Systems invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Technology & Systems (ITS) beginning Fall 2010.
Instruction, Research, and Service
We welcome candidates who have teaching and research interests in Business Information Systems, Data Quality, Systems Analysis and Design, Project Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Information Decision Systems. Applicants with the ability to teach multiple areas will receive preference. Applicants should be willing to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in both regular (on the ground) settings and online environments. Other required duties include scholarly activities that result in peer-reviewed publications as well as engagement in college and professional services, including advising students, serving on department, school, and college committees, and mentoring students in the area of IS-related research.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in MIS or closely related field, including Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Decision Science or Operations Management. ABDs in the appropriate field will be considered. Evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarly work is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Industry and/or consulting experience is highly desirable. As our programs host a diverse population, the proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment is highly regarded.
