Description:
The Big Read is a National Endowment for the Arts initiative, currently operating in over 200 communities nationwide. The goal of the program is to restore reading to a central place in American culture. The Poughkeepsie Public Library has chosen The Maltese Falcon as the focus of Poughkeepsie's 2012 Big Read.
