Hudson River Valley Institute Symposium on Andrew Jackson Downing

On the weekend of October 24-25, HRVI will host a national symposium to mark the bicentennial of the 19th-century American and Hudson Valley native Andrew Jackson Downing, who is known as "the father of American landscape architecture." Speakers will include David Schuyler (visiting scholar, HRVI), Aaron Sachs (Cornell University), and Francis Kowsky (Buffalo State College).

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is a nationally recognized charity that seeks to raise awareness to combat HIV/AIDS and provide support programs for those afflicted with the illness. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales and event raffles will benefit BC/EFA.
