Join us for a fundraiser auction and an update on Ghana's Birthing Center by Christina Vertullo, Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics, and Rev. Raphael Tawiah, a recent Marist MBA graduate. Chris Vertullo has traveled to Ghana on three occasions. This past summer she spent a month with a Ghanaian family and oversaw the progress of the center. Father Raphael is currently in Ghana, however, Father will be available via video to say hello and express his gratitude to the many donors.
Come see the fruits of your labor. Beverages and desserts are included with your $10 admission to the auction and entitles you to an entry into the door prize drawing of a new Toshiba laptop computer. Advanced ticket purchase entitles you to two entries for the door prize drawing.
The auction features holiday baskets, Christmas items, gift certificates, restaurant and eatery gift cards, baskets of wine and cheer, homemade items, holiday food and dessert specialties, household items, basket of bestseller books, religious articles, Ghanaian art and jewelry, dried flower arrangements, a smoker grill, tickets to the Hyde Park movies, Rhinebeck Performing Arts, FDR museum, and the Walk Way Over the Hudson Fireworks, complimentary haircuts, oil changes and groceries, and many other items. In addition, there are two 50/50 drawings. Sheets of 20 raffle tickets cost $20.
To purchase advance tickets contact Chris Vertullo. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are suggested. Cash is preferred but checks made to Marist College are accepted. An ATM machine is located in the Student Center. Donations are welcome.
