As an institution that prides itself on its commitment to diversity and global consciousness, Marist is excited to use International Education Week as a platform for a yearly celebration of the benefits from international education and exchange.

International Education Week was conceived as a joint initiative between the U.S. departments of State and Education, and is now celebrated annually in more than 100 countries worldwide. The initiative seeks to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States

Below are a few events on campus that continue the global engagement and focus of Marist College's students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Marist Music Honors Event

MU3201 - Fusco Recital Hall
The Marist Music and Marist Honors Programs present "The Songs of Mr. Williams Blake," tonight, Thursday, November 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Fusco Recital Hall.

A lecture and performance featuring Dr. Geoffrey Brackett, Sarah Williams, and the students of the Marist Music and Digital Media Programs, this presentation explores a systematic multi-discipline exposure to the Creative Arts. Selected prose from "Songs of Innocence" and "Songs of Experience" are set in a contemporary musical setting. The immersion is enhanced by digital media projected above the artists throughout the lecture, allowing for a deeper understanding of these rich texts.

Through this event, we offer a look at the human condition and society through optimistic and pessimistic terms.
