Hunger Awareness Month at Marist College - Buck Hunger

The Marist College community is holding its annual Hunger Awareness Month activities in the month of November.

Buck Hunger takes place on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 10 and 11, all day: On-campus fundraising effort to benefit Bread for the World, Dutchess Outreach, and Lazarus House Ministries.

Hunger Awareness Month focuses attention and action on the problem locally, nationally, and globally, with the aim of raising money to help feed the hungry.

Everton Wagstaffe, Pre-Law Event

HC2023 - Kondysar Presentation
The Marist College Pre-Law Program presents Everton Wagstaffe, who will reflect on his conviction, incarceration, and exoneration.

Pre-Law at Marist College provides a culture of support for students interested in exploring law school. The goal of the
program is engaging students to create an academic, leadership, and character profile that would enhance the opportunity
for admission to the law school of their choice. Having a consistent, central source of advice helps students launch their
professional futures during their time as an undergraduate.

Art Gallery
The Marist College Art Gallery presents its upcoming exhibition showcasing the work of Donise English, Bruno Liberatore, and Ed Smith, an exhibition focusing on sculpture.

A reception will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

The exhibition will be on display November 10 - December 9.

Works featured will be in bronze, terra-cotta and paper, both large and intimate. Professor English, a professor at Marist, has work in public and private collections throughout the U.S, has exhibited at the Hudson River Museum is recipient of numerous awards. Mr. Liberatore is chair of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera in Milan and Florence. Ed Smith is a professor at Marist and was a former Associate of the Royal British Society of Sculpture, a recent inductee into the National Academy, a Guggenheim Fellow, and has work in the British Museum in London and more.
