Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Women's Studies, the School of Liberal Arts, the Department of History, and the School of Communications and the Arts will sponsor a talk by Dr. Jennifer Edwards, Associate Professor of History at Manhattan College.
Dr. Edwards will discuss how online networks offer non-traditional means of connecting to feminist communities and offering feminist scholarships available to the public. Her presentation will be followed with commentary from Dr. Karen Schrier of Marist College, who will address recent games-related and social media issues/events such as #GamerGate, as well as reactions to those events by the academic/games community and feminist scholars.

The Marist College Holocaust Remembrance Committee will sponsor the 26th Annual Holocaust Remembrance on Monday, April 18, 7:00 p.m. in the Nelly Goletti Theatre.
Dr. Moshe Avital will be the featured speaker. Dr. Avital, a noted author and scholar, will recount his own experiences as a Holocaust survivor, including as an inmate in both the Auschwitz and Buchenwald Concentration/Death Camps.
Following Dr. Avital's talk and a brief memorial ceremony, there will be a series of performances and multimedia presentations organized by Marist students from 8:00 - 8:45 p.m. on the third floor of the Student Center.
