Marist College and Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health will sponsor this conference titled "Creating Networks of Support for Families Living with Special Needs".
The conference will feature psychologist Dr. Maria Sirois. In her keynote address, Dr. Sirois will help families of individuals with disabilities, and professionals who serve them, learn to build resilience. The author of "A Short Course in Happiness and Every Day Counts," she will draw scientific basis for the practice of resilience. Blending humor and compassion, she will offer practical strategies for help conference participants make choices every day that lead to happiness and thriving, even in in difficult circumstances.

The Marist College Residence Hall Association, the Office of Housing and Residential Life and the North End Residence Hall Council will be hosting the 13th Annual 'Residence Hall-oween' Safe Trick-or-Treat for children.
Last year over 400 children and families attended, many from the Marist College community. Residence Hall-oween Safe Trick-or-Treat will take place Saturday, October 28th, 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM in Foy Parking Lot & Townhouses. Parking will be in Lot 14 (Foy/Dyson/Fontaine).
All faculty and staff members are invited to bring their children. In addition to trick-or-treating, we will have activities, pumpkin painting, refreshments, a costume contest, craft making, and much more!
