Author Jonathan Starr on Education in Somaliland

On Monday, April 3, the Honors Program at Marist College will welcome author Jonathan Starr to campus to talk about his recent book "It Takes a School: The Extraordinary Story of an American School in the World's #1 Failed State."

The book chronicles Starr's work founding the Abaarso School of Science in Technology in Somaliland. In 2009, Starr relocated from the United States to Somalia and used his personal finances to open the school.
