Harmony on the Hudson: Marist Music Annual Spring Concerts

Bardavon 1869 Opera House
The Marist College Music Department presents its annual spring concert weekend, "Harmony on the Hudson" on Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House.

Groups performing Saturday include the Marist College Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Chamber choirs. For the fourth consecutive year, Marist Singers alumni will be welcomed back to the stage in a performance of Dan Forrest's Requiem for the Living.

Sunday's show includes performances from the Marist College Symphonic Band, Freshman Women's Choir, Jazz Foxes and Marist College Singers. Act 2 of the Sunday performance will open with a recognition ceremony for the Marist Music Class of 2014.

The Bardavon has played host to the spring concert since 2001. The concert will feature selections from an array of musical styles, from Broadway to Americana, from scores to your favorite movies to funk, jazz and many others.

Vulnerable Witnesses in Court: The Use of Courthouse Facility Dogs

Nelly Goletti Theatre
This engaging conference will focus on how courthouse dogs can enable terrified, intimidated, vulnerable witnesses/victims of violence to give effective testimony in court with the comfort of a specially trained dog. The story of Rosie, who became the first dog in NY Court history to comfort a witness in a trial, will be told. The conference includes a demonstration with a Courthouse Dog and an updated on the status of the proposed Rosie's Law.
