The Marist College Dance Ensemble will be performing their fall showcase "MOVE" at Poughkeepsie High School on Saturday, November 11th at 4pm and Sunday, November 12th at 2pm.

Tickets prices are $12 for general admission and $7 for student/senior/child and can be purchased at the door.

HN2023 - Kondysar Presentation
Marist College Cognitive Science Program presents speaker Kenneth Kurtz, Associate Professor of Psychology and Area Coordinator for Cognitive and Brain Sciences at Binghamton University, when he will speak on "What are Categories Made Of?"

Dr. Kurtz will discuss influential explanatory constructs in the psychology of human category learning from an information processing perspective. Focal questions to be addressed include:

1. What is the underlying nature of the computational problem?
2. What the strengths/weaknesses of competing approaches?
3. How does an emerging set of evidence from the laboratory impact the status quo?

Patricia Adams, Environmental Activist

HC2023 - Kondysar Presentation
This lecture, sponsored by the Campus Sustainability Committee and the Departments of History and Economics, will be presented on Wednesday, November 15th in the Hancock Center, Room 2023.

Patricia Adams is a long-time environmental activist and co-author of "A Force of Nature: The Story of NRDC and the Fight to Save Our Planet." Her talk will examine the history of the environmental movement in the Hudson River Valley over the last forty years, and the role of women in the movement.

Art Gallery Exhibition, Lois Walsh

Art Gallery
The Marist College Art Gallery presents its latest exhibition "IN FINITO", a one person exhibition of paintings by Lois Walsh.

Professor Walsh has been with Marist for over 28 years holding various positions in the Art and Digital Media Department. The exhibition opens with a reception on Wednesday, November 15th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The exhibit runs from Nov. 15th through Dec. 9th.

The Marist College Art Gallery is located at 51 Fulton Street. Gallery hours are 12:00 - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday.
