Peter Bregman is CEO of Bregman Partners, Inc., a global management-consulting firm that advises CEOs and their leadership teams. He speaks, writes, and consults about how to lead and how to live. He is the author of 18 Minutes: Find Your Focus, Master Distraction, and Get the Right Things Done, winner of the Gold Medal from the Axiom Business Book awards, named the best business book of the year on NPR, and selected by Publisher's Weekly and the New York Post as a top 10 business book of the year. Peter has been featured on PBS, ABC, and CNN. He is also a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Forbes, National Public Radio (NPR), Psychology Today, and CNN, as well as a weekly commentator on Fox Business News.

Rudy Giuliani
"Principled Leadership: In the Face of Change and Crisis"
Rudy Giuliani is the renowned 107th Mayor of New York City (1993-2001). Under his leadership, he reduced the overall crime and murder rate to make New York City the safest large city in America. Just when New Yorkers were beginning to enjoy the city's revitalization, the unimaginable hit on 9-11. Giuliani swiftly marshaled his remarkable leadership skills to pull his city, and perhaps the entire nation, through the crisis. He has been touted as one of the most effective chief executives in modern American history.

His new novel The Fifth Assassin will be published in January 2013. He is also the author of the non-fiction best seller Heroes For My Son; the host of the History Channel TV series Brad Meltzer's Decoded; and is the #1 selling author of the comic book Justice League of America, for which he won the prestigious Eisner Award. Brad is also the co-creator of the TV show Jack & Bobby and co-founder of City Year Miami.

Marist Center for Sports Communication hosts "Better Know Your Sports Beat"

The Marist College Center for Sports Communication will hold the first of its coaches speaker series event known as “Better Know Your Sports Beat.” In this series, Marist coaches speak with Marist students about their sports and teams and discuss journalistic practices for each sport.

The events are ideal for those working in campus media and those aspiring to work in the sports media field. Each of the events will be held in the newly opened Center for Sports Communication in Lowell Thomas 142. The events are open to all students, but seating is limited.

Ethics of Food Film Series: Dirt! (2009)

Dirt takes center stage in this entertaining yet poignant documentary from Bill Benenson and Gene Rosow, which unearths our cosmic connection to soil and explores how diverse groups of people are uniting to save the natural resource. Drawing inspiration from William Bryant Logan's book Dirt: The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth, the filmmakers combine lively animations with personal accounts from farmers, scientists, activists and more.
