January 1, 2016 2016-2017 FAFSA Renewal

Please complete your 2016-2017 Renewal FAFSA online at, and revise the information to reflect the 2015 income (and any other information that has changed) for both you and your parent(s). Please submit the application electronically and be sure to specify Marist college (code: 002765) as the recipient of your information. Marist college preferred deadline for filing the FAFSA for 2016-2017 is April 15, 2016.

Please Note: Due to limited funding, there will be NO Perkins Loans awarded if the FAFSA is received after the preferred deadline.

February 8, 2016 Last day to receive half tuition for Spring 2016 (The student is responsible for 50% tuition charges if you withdraw completely or add/drop any courses.)

Festivities will begin on Monday and run through the whole week.
Student Financial Services staff will be available to assist you with any financial aid matters or concerns you may have.

Provided we have received your FAFSA results electronically, you will be sent a Financial Aid award notification via email.

Verification Requirements
Check the Financial Aid Requirements via myMarist to complete all verification and other pending requirements.

Marist College verifies information submitted on the FAFSA for all students selected for verification by the Department of Education.

The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is available to update the FAFSA and will allow the filed Federal Tax Return data to be uploaded directly to your FAFSA. If you have not done so already, we strongly encourage you to use this tool as our office will not be able to accept any Federal Tax Returns or W-2 Statements. If you are unable to do so, please submit copies of the Federal Tax Return Transcripts, if required (per your my.marist account) to our office. The Marist Application is available via your myMarist account provided you are required to submit this application. This information should be sent to our office no later than August 15, 2016.

July 2016 Loan Process Begins
Your loan will be processed for the amount indicated on your electronic award package via myMarist, unless we are otherwise notified, and provided we have an MPN on file from a previous semester.
July 2016 Fall 2016 Tuition Statements will be available electronically mid-July.
