|Job Title||Event Coordinator|
|Job Description||The Southern Ulster Chamber of Commerce is currently comprised of 127 members and eager to grow! We are offering a 30 hour per week position and the rate of pay will be $10 - $12 hour, no benefits. The initial rate of pay will be determined by experience and other factors. The position is primarily an office position. The title that will be assigned to the new hire will be Telemarketing and Event Coordinator. The right candidate will be required to attend 1-2 afternoon or evening events per month which will require light travel throughout the southern Ulster territory and one monthly board meeting at the Highland office. Both will be included in the 30 hours per week. The new hire will be an employee. We would like this person to regularly work 11a to 5p but may consider other arrangements if the right candidate emerges. Primary responsibilities will include event planning (lunches, dinners, mixers) requiring contact with members, sponsors and vendors to coordinate, marketing the chamber, maintaining contact with members to generate turnout at events, basic customer service (e.g. new member enrollment protocol) and working with our bookkeeper to help maintain cash flow by following up with members for payment of dues, sponsor fees etc. There will be heavy member and vendor contact and the right candidate will have refined communication skills. For at least the first year, our board members will continue to secure sponsors and work on our 2-3 more elaborate events (annual dinner, golf tournament). As the right candidate grows into the position, it is expected that we can transition him or her to take more control of those tasks. The marketing and event coordinator will be directly supervised by the Chamber President.|
