Job Description Capital Markets Advisors, LLC (www.capmark.org), a leading independent financial advisor to public jurisdictions in New York State, is seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening in its Hopewell Junction office. The position is part time, requiring 8 to 12 hours per week, between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and can be tailored around a student's class schedule. CMA (www.capmark.org) is a small, fast-paced company that advises public jurisdictions throughout New York State as they address their financing needs. The firm maintains offices on Long Island, in New York City, Western New York and the Hudson Valley. In 2013, CMA worked with over 200 different counties, cities, towns, villages and school districts on 350 financings with a total par amount of approximately $4 billion. We are seeking candidates to join our staff and work with our established client base on debt offerings. Qualified candidates should have a degree in finance, accounting or a related field and an interest in public finance. After in-house training, successful candidates will assist in planning and structuring note, bond and lease issues, assist with the preparation of offering documents and participate in bond, note and lease sales. We offer our employees a friendly, team-oriented environment where their academic and employment skills are put to productive use as they work closely with lawyers, bankers and government officials on tax-exempt financings. All applicants must have strong verbal and writing skills and be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. In addition, candidates must live within a short commute to Hopewell Junction, NY.
