eLearning Orientation (Training)
The purpose of the orientation is to introduce you to the virtual environment
and show you how to navigate successfully through your online course. Marist
online courses are taught using a course management system called Educator.
Orientation is mandatory for first-time online learners. If you have attended
orientation before or have taken an online course at Marist, click here for a
waiver.
You will need your Marist account prior to accessing your online course.
To Register for an eLearning Orientation Session

Step 1: Go to http://marist.ilinc.com/events

Step 2: Check the box next to the CE orientation session you would like to attend

Step 3: Click on "Register" on the bottom of the page

Step 4: Fill in your name and email and click submit

Step 5: You will receive a confirmation invite email message
that contains important information about the session including the date & time, a Dial-in Number,
Participation PIN and the link to join that session. You will need this information to join the
iLinc session so make sure you keep this email and have it with you on the day of the orientation
session.
To Access the eLearning Orientation Session
10 minutes prior to your scheduled orientation session, follow the link
provided in the confirmation invite email message to sign in and access
the session.
Helpful Hints:
- Access the web portion of iLinc session first and then call into the conference.
- Try to choose a location with high-speed Internet access.
- If you encounter any technical problems, please call the iLinc
toll-free technical support at 1.800.799.4510 (available 8:30 am to 8:30
pm) and reference the meeting number.
Note: If you do not have your confirmation invite email message, you can
go to the iLinc Public Events page
Click on the Join tab on top of the page. Then, click the Join link (on the right) for the
appropriate session.
