Guided imagery is a gentle but powerful technique that focuses and directs the imagination.
Research has demonstrated its positive impact on health, creativity and performance. Even 10 minutes of guided imagery practice can reduce blood pressure, lower cholesterol and glucose levels in the blood, and heighten immune function. It can increase performance skills, assist in weight management, and reduce anxiety. It can also be used as an aid for insomnia.
For optimal use, listen in a quiet environment in comfortable clothing. Turn off your cell phone and any other device that may make distracting noises.
Do not listen to this program while doing anything that requires alertness, especially operating a motor vehicle.
