Marist International Programs and Aston Business School (ABS) would like to announce a new and exciting study abroad opportunity specifically designed for students from the Marist School of Management to undertake major coursework at the Aston Business School in Birmingham, England. The Aston Business School is highly respected as a center of excellence for the study of business, and holds triple accreditation through the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the EQIS (European Quality Improvement System) and the AMBA (Association of MBAs). The program is part of a newly developed reciprocal exchange program between Marist College and Aston Business School, with students from both colleges undertaking study at the respective partner institution.
The program will commence in the spring semester of 2010. Specifically, at this time we wish to recruit two undergraduate Marist students (from any major within the School of Management) to study at Aston Business School for the spring semester of 2010. Participants will take a full-time load of business courses at Aston from an approved list representing a range of business fields. These courses have been selected so as to potentially earn credit toward the completion of major requirements at Marist. Applicants must be third or fourth year students in good standing at Marist with a high level of proficiency in English as well as a minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0. Marist students will pay their usual Marist tuition and fees to study at Aston, and generally speaking, financial aid that students receive at Marist will still apply. Students will not pay room and board to Marist, but rather will be arranged and paid for on-site at Aston.
The deadline for application to study at the Aston Business School in spring 2010 is October 15, 2009. However, potential applicants are urged to contact the Marist International Programs (MIP) office as soon as possible to discuss application, financial, and other details of the program (MIP is located at LB334, tel. 845-575-3330). In relation to coursework selection at Aston and progress toward the major, potential applicants should contact Dr. Beate Klingenberg, Assistant Professor of Management, at DY353 or campus extension 6071.
Speak with the MIP to discuss available housing options.
Marist students will pay Marist tuition while participating in the Aston program.
Interested students should contact Prof Beate Klingenberg in the School of Management.
