After the MIP on-line application has been submitted and processed, successful applicants will receive a

"Conditional Acceptance" letter through e-mail. The letter outlines next steps for pre-departure planning.

GeoBlue WORLDWIDE INSURANCE COVERAGE is required and provided to every MIP participant by Marist College.

GeoBlue coverage is included in the MIP fee, and program participants are subscribed for this coverage by Marist.

A GeoBlue ID card will be mailed to each student from MIP.  With information on the ID card, students can access info and resources (such as recommended physicians) by registering on the GeoBlue web site: www.geobluestudents.com and/or download the GeoBlue app to register.

It is important for students to carry their GeoBlue ID card to access healthcare services; they will need to present the ID card whenever they receive medical care.

SMART TRAVELER ENROLLMENT PROGRAM (STEP) 

Why register for STEP? The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in a foreign  country. 

STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in an emergency:

    • Receive important information from the local U.S. Embassy re: safety conditions.
    • Embassy contact in an emergency (natural disaster, civil unrest, family emergency).
    • Help family and friends get in touch in an emergency.
