All systems and services are up and running. On Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 3am to 4am OmniUpdate, the web content management system software, will be upgraded to the latest version. During this time users will be unable to make changes to their web pages. All systems and services are up and running. On Thursday, November 5, 2009 during our maintenance window of 5:00am to 7:00am Information Technology will be performing maintenance on part of our authentication system. During this time you might experience difficulty logging in. Please try again as this will only be a brief interruption. On Friday, November 6, 2009 at 5:00pm, Information Technology will be taking the Banner system down so that we can do a vendor required upgrade. System & Service Availability (eLearning & Snow Leopard Information)
All systems and services are up and running. As of October 5th, eLearning will be unavailable to all former and current students. In regards to the faculty: You will be able to sign-in during the 2009-2010 Academic Year but access from off-campus will be restricted to VPN connections. Users of Mac OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard, operating system have not been able to connect to the Marist network through Cisco Clean Access. We continue to work with our vendor, Cisco, to resolve this issue and have identified a short term fix that will allow Mac OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard, users to get onto the wired campus network. This fix does NOT allow usage of the campus wireless network. In order for you to take advantage of this fix, you will have to bring your computer to the ResNet Office in DN101 anytime Monday to Friday, 10:00am through 5:00pm. The ResNet Office will also provide Snow Leopard users with an Ethernet cable to be able to use the wired network. It is currently estimated that a complete solution that includes the wireless network will not be available until the Winter Intersession. We will work with Cisco in an attempt to improve the availability of a complete solution for Snow Leopard users. At this time, we are still recommending that you do not upgrade to Snow Leopard until the issue has been fully resolved.

Snow Leopard & eLearning availability
All systems and services are up and running. Users of Mac OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard, operating system are currently not able to connect to the Marist network through Cisco Clean Access. This applies to both the wireless and wired networks. We continue to work with our vendor Cisco to resolve this issue and have identified a short term fix that will allow Mac OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard, users to get onto the wired campus network. This fix does not allow usage of the campus wireless network. Please contact the ResNet office with any further questions at x3169 . As of October 5th, eLearning will be unavailable to all former and current students. In regards to the faculty: You will be able to sign-in during the 2009-2010 Academic Year but access from off-campus will be restricted to VPN connections after October 5, 2009.

Today is Monday, August 24, 2009. We are currently experiencing problems with calls from outside of Marist to specific extensions on campus. Information Technology is planning to upgrade to the systems that run Housekeeping/Delivery Request from the web. We expect it to be functional again on Thursday, July 30, 2009. All other system and services are up and running.

Information Technology is planning to upgrade the wireless system on July 28, 2009 from 5:00am to 1:00pm. During this time the campus wireless services will be random and intermittent. These outages will also affect all wireless related applications. We are currently experiencing problems with the applications related to Lotus Notes. These problems are not impacting Lotus Notes mail in any way. Staff wishing to place a housekeeping request will have to use the Lotus Notes Client. The Help Desk has instructions to guide you through this process. The Events Calendar is running, though not all features are available. These problems will be resolved Wednesday, July 29, 2009 by 7am. All other systems and services are up and running.

In addition, staff or students who use x3003 or x3004 to access their phonemail will not be able to access it, nor will phonemail accept messages for those extensions. Today is Friday, May 2, 2008. The Educator eLearning Server is currently experiencing technical difficulties which are interferring with the sending and receiving of e-mail. Any e-mails posted after 9 PM EDT last night (5/1/08) may have not been delivered. In order to address the problem, we have had to deactive "elearning" e-mail in the system thus e-mail is not currently working. All other systems and services are up and running. We will be performing PhoneMail maintenance tomorrow, Saturday, May 3, 2008 between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm. PhoneMail service for access numbers 3001-3005 will be down during this time. The phone switch will not be impacted and remain functional. Any incoming calls to our campus (575-3000) line will be answered by our switchboard operator.

On Friday, October 22, 2004 there will be maintenance on several services within Information Technology. * At 12:01am z/VM on the Mainframe will be upgraded. The following services will be unavailable until 2:00am as a result of this upgrade: FoxMail FoxWeb www.fdrlibrary.marist.edu Knowledge Center Merit E-Merit http://library.marist.edu Dial-up access Student Linux machines * There will also be an upgrade to the software on all the network switches that control connections to the Marist Network. This will be done in two phases. During each phase rolling network outages will occur lasting approximately one half hour. Starting at 12:01 am and finishing around 7:00am the following buildings will be affected: Dyson, Fontaine, Lowell Thomas, and the Library. The second phase will start at 7:00am and include the rest of campus. This upgrade should be completed by 3:00pm. * A new Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) will be installed in the Library LAN room. This will start at 8:30am and conclude at 1:30pm. During this time the Library and Lowell Thomas network connections will be unavailable.

Any resources outside of Marist (such as Google or Hotmail) will not be available. Due to the Fourth of July holiday, IAPROD will be brought down at 6pm on Thursday, July 3, 2003.
