Computer Software Updates
The Department of Information Technology will
install a software update on all Marist owned computers beginning on 20-Jun and continuing
for the rest of the summer. This update will ensure each computer has the latest
Microsoft software patches installed which were tested and approved by the
Department of Information Technology. In order for all our computers to
get this update, the Desktop Support team will need to install this update
on your computer. The update will only take 5-10 minutes and will require
a reboot of your computer to take effect. In addition, the Desktop
Support team will also install a file conversion program that will allow
users to open Microsoft Word documents created in the new MS Office 2007 format.
We will also have this service available at the Help Desk. Drop in and drop off service for Marist laptops will be available. Help Desk hours for this service are Monday-Thursday, 8AM-4PM and Friday 8AM-3PM.
