We are pleased to invite you to participate in a Marist College Ride Share program designed by our own Information Technology staff, vetted by members of the Campus Sustainability Advisory Committee, and supported in conjunction with your Student Government Association and Student Life Council.
This completely voluntary program offers members of the Marist community the flexibility to arrange rides to meet specific scheduling needs, such as regular commuting to and from the College. For our students, finding a ride to the food store or mall has never been easier!
The Marist College Ride Share program:
- Offers an online easy-to-use, confidential, flexible ride share matching system
- Reduces transportation-related greenhouse emissions
- Helps to reduce the need for additional parking space construction
- Assists with scheduling rides to and from campus
- Saves gas!!! (as well as gas money)
Sharing a ride can save Marist faculty, staff, and students up to $1,500 a year by lowering gasoline bills, insurance costs, and car maintenance expenses. Take advantage of this great opportunity for financial savings and to meet other members of our College community.
A key initiative in the College's strategic plan calls for the implementation of environmentally sustainable practices to raise awareness, to use as a teaching tool and to establish lifelong behaviors supporting the environment. We urge you to take advantage of this ride share program and reduce the use of your personal motor vehicle for your commute to campus.
